The Sony A7 III is featured packed camera at a very affordable price. It has most of the feature that every pro shooter will want today both for Video and stills. According to me, 24 Mpix is perfect for all-around work. The disadvantage of shooting 40 meg pix and above as in the ease of use while shooting. To get a perfect image in those high megapixel monsters you need the camera to be on a Tripod to get reasonably sharp images.

According to me, the Canon 5D Mark III is still my go-to camera when it comes to studio photography. The 21 Megapixel count in that camera is just perfect for all kinds of work. But now I am looking to upgrade my personal setup to at Sony A7 III.

I had a Sony A7s for some time, but it sucks big time when you want to do still photography on that camera. According to me, a camera’s prime function should be to do stills and video is always a bonus.

Last year I was using the Panasonic GH5 for a lot of my studio still shoot including the powder shoot with Model Sherlin Seit and Dancer Shreya Deshpande. I wish I had the Sony A7 III during that shoot.

The Panasonic GH5 is a great camera for stills as well but the company for some reason does to concentrate on the still side things and also there is always a compatibility issue when trying to use the camera with third-party equipment like Flashes etc.

The Sony A7 III is sure exciting and the good news is that Sony now has some very good lenses under its belt.

So stay tuned guys. Look forward to a detailed test using the A7 III as soon as I get the camera. Some shots I did previously with the Panasonic GH5.
